Milisa Valliere (in her own words): "I have been creating art since the age of five I actually went door to door selling it! (Beats a lemonade stand) Born to artist parents, my upbringing was quite eclectic. With regard to art, I never learned limitations and have tried many mediums on every surface i.e., walls, ceilings, tubs, sinks, toilets, even vehicles. I spent my younger years traveling throughout Europe, watching my father paint and visited endless museums. At ten in Amsterdam, I fell in love with Rembrandt, at eleven, in Provence, Van Gogh, at twelve, in Giverney, Monet and their inspiration continues.
Light and color make the greatest impression on me and I'm equally inspired by nature. My goal is to capture the beauty and light on canvas. My paintings are fleeting moments captured spontaneously. While my primary medium is oil painted using a palette knife, I equally enjoy creating abstracts made from mixed media. Though most of my art is representational, the use of vibrant color and light are prominent in my work. My paintings have been collected privately and commercially. I am proud to share a portion of the proceeds from the sale of my work with local schools and charities, but as a gallery owner my greatest pleasure is meeting the many wonderful and diverse people who enjoy my work."
